Speaker Biography
Dr. Bud Lush is President & Chief Technical Officer of Atocrates, Inc and a Visiting Professor of Project Sciences. He has over 30 years experience in Integrated Systems Program Management, Large Scale Technical Facility Design & Relocation, Corporate-Wide Project Management, BPR, Quality Program, and New Product Development Initiatives involving large scale requirements engineering. Dr. Lush has been a guest simulation designer/lecturer at the U.S. Defense Systems Management College, and USC's Institute of Safety and Systems Management. He is a founding faculty member of the Academy for Project Management, and the Centre of Excellence for Business Analysis, Schulich School of Business, York University and the principal architect and producer of Canada's number one Masters Certificate curriculum in Project Management, Business Analysis, Requirements Engineering and Facilities Management offered at over 20 tier one colleges and universities throughout North America. In 1996 Bud founded the "Atocrates Centre for Project Sciences" and as executive director created the Atocrates/McLaughlin Masters Certificate in Project Management. Currently the Atocrates Centre is presenting public programs in Strategic Project Management, Requirements Engineering and Human Dynamics. Bud has completed graduate and postgraduate studies in operational systems management and is considered by the Project Management Institute (PMI) to be a pioneer in the optimization of systems, programs, and projects through applied simulation systems theory. He has been a longtime member of the Project Management Institute, was the sponsor and founding president of the PMI Durham Highlands Chapter, Ontario, Canada. Bud is a member of the board of the International Council on Systems Engineering, Fellow of The Royal College of Project Managers and member of the International Institute for Business Analysis. He has published many papers and is a past presenter at pmExpo/Buildex, PMI, IPMA, and ProjectWorld/BAWorld. In the past three years Bud has been sought out as a keynote speaker at annual general meetings for medium to large corporations.
